Paper Illustration Portfolio

Paper illustration has the ability to appeal to both the sense of sight and the sense of touch based on what our eyes perceive. In addition, it manages to simulate a frozen action or scene, which brings more realism and authenticity; it immerses us into the situation, and this, at the same time, evokes all the other senses. All this thanks to the effect of light, the texture of the paper, the three-dimensionality and the empty space.

Paper illustration can be used for exactly the same purpose as an illustration made with any other technique and material, offering a fresh and creative touch, a vision at the same time innovative and handcrafted, a greater capacity for nuances, more depth of expression and impact. Some of its purposes are the illustration of books (both children’s literature and not), magazines, covers, sleeves, branding, advertisements, campaigns, brochures, advertising material, packaging, educational material, board games, stationery, prints on canvas etc.

All illustrations have been taken with a Nikon D3000 from my paper dioramas and miniatures and edited mostly with Photoshop.
